This is the 2nd pair of these I’ve bought for my daughter. The first pair lasted well over 4 years; worn on every shift for 3 years as she went through her nurse training and worn in her role as an NHS A&E nurse for over 15 months afterwards.
We are restricted in the choice of suitable shoes available to her, as she has small feet and wears a size 2. These were ideal and fitted her well.
This second pair lasted less than 7 months, and as you can see, the left shoe has frayed and looks in a disgraceful state!
I have no idea what Sketchers have done in their manufacturing process, but they’ve certainly reduced the quality of these shoes considerably. So many reviews I’ve seen online support this too as so many other buyers seem to have the same low quality experience, with lots having the same problem in the same place.
This is in no way a reflection upon any retailer of these shoes (I bought them from John Lewis and paid £79 for them), but is directed towards Sketchers and their poor quality, high priced shoes.
Unlike other sketcher trainers these shoes comes up small I bought size 4.5 which is my normal size and they are too tight. Also the pointed part at the front of the shoe is not comfortable and makes me feel like slipping.
Have been Wearing these for three years now, they are the most comfortable work shoes I have ever bought. I’m on my feet 45 hours a week and never got feet ache.
Nice comfortable shoe , you feel safe wearing them in a kitchen inviroment as the soles are really good and dont slip at all they are leather so can be wiped clean
