Charity Partnership

Not only are Brantano passionate about shoes but also their partnership’s with charities. From successful campaigns to in store fundraising, Brantano go the extra mile to support, raise awareness and donations of their partnership charities.

Brake — The Road Safety Charity.
For 2015, Brantano have partnered with road safety charity Brake. Brake are committed to raising awareness of road safety issues to children, pedestrians and drivers & providing counselling and information to families who have been tragically effected by road accidents. Karen Staton, Retail Operations Director, at Brantano, said: "It’s brilliant to see so many schools, parents and children getting involved in this year’s Giant Walk and to have our stores joining in today is a fantastic opportunity. The collaboration with Brake allows us to not only raise awareness of the importance of correctly fitting shoes for children’s foot health but also to reinforce messages about the dangers of roads and the importance of safe road use to both children and parents, as well as promoting the health and environmental benefits of walking and cycling to school." There are many ways in which Brantano are helping to support Brake this year.

The Giant Walk
On 10th June children and parents across the nation joined the charity’s Giant Walk campaign. With six children a day killed or injured on our roads last year the annual event, aimed to drive awareness of road safety and promote safe walking on Britain’s streets.

560 schools registered to take part, with 105,113 kids taking part in the giant walk! Brantano were thrilled be able to sponsor the event, with staff from stores volunteering to support schools on the walk.

Traffic Shoes
Brantano have launched a range of shoes in partnership with Brake for boys and girls, which are now available online & stores nationwide. Each pair of ’Traffic’ shoes will come in a presentation box, which contains a fun yet informative leaflet to educate children on road safety, along with high visibility safety products such as reflective stickers, a traffic light key ring, a handy reflective strap band and a drawstring bag to put it all in.

For every pair of Brake shoes purchased Brantano are donating 25p to Brake to help fund the lifesaving work it does in preventing road deaths and injuries, and supporting people bereaved by traffic accidents.

I Pledge.
During Brantano’s Back To School season kids will be given the opportunity in stores nationwide to have a ’Pledge Card’ in which parents can encourage their children to pledge to walk to school. These can then be uploaded to Brantano’s Facebook page - & 10p will be donated to Brake for every upload. The winner picked at random from all the pledges will also win free school shoes for a year!

As well as all of the above stores nationwide are having ongoing fundraising events, including cake sales, guess the amount of laces in the jar, ’I’m a supervisor get me out of here’ and even a skydive. If you want to find out more about Brake then
